CW By CorningWare Is A Hit In Our House!

www.facebook.com/infomommy2014   www.twitter.com/infomommy

It's the time of year again when we start craving comfort foods like soups, stews and casseroles. Some even feel like the doom and gloom of the autumn/winter season is on the horizon. Whether you look forward to or dread this season, add some colour to your life and infuse some pizzazz and flair into your fall cooking!
I love colour! It makes me feel energized and happy, and I love serving colour on the table. Not only does it look great, but I feel like it appears more appetizing to my kids. And you can never go wrong with that! Unless of course they are eating you out of house and home, then you might really want to dull it down! LOL
CW by CorningWare is one of their latest lines. As these gurus of casserole dishes put it: "This is not your mom's CorningWare!". It's bursting with colour and comes in new trendy smooth shapes. Their 4-piece set is a great buy. It's an investment in a long lasting casserole sure to bring both functionality and style for years to come! Just like our moms' original casseroles from years ago, they keep on giving and have lasted for decades. I still have some of my mom's original Blue Cornflower CorningWare casseroles that I use to this day!

Included in the CW by CorningWare 4-piece set is the 1.9 quart Twilight Purple Shallow Baker, the 3 quart Pool Aquamarine Baker, the 1.5 quart Vermillion Red Baker and the 20 ounce Curry Yellow Baker. They nest into each other for compact storage and have a limited 1 year warranty. The stoneware bakers feel very durable, and are oven, microwave and dishwasher safe.   It does not indicate on the packaging that it is or is not freezer safe, but if it's anything like the typical CorningWare casseroles, then I would expect that they would be. I would say try at your own risk.
Like a lot of stoneware, their bottoms can be a bit rough, so be sure to place them on a trivet, pot holder or tea towel when serving on a counter or table top. It would be great if they came with lids for at least some, if not all of the bakers.
The smaller yellow one would be a great size for making individual meals like shepherd's pie or lasagna. The purple shallow baker would be ideal for entertaining. It could be used as a colourful serving platter, or for this hot spinach & cheese dip recipe. (Not what's in the picture! LOL) The other two sizes would be perfect for all of your other typical casserole uses.
I used mine this morning (yes, this morning!) to put together a quick and simple casserole for my child's lunch. I simply boiled up some fresh packaged pasta, mixed it with some leftover sauce and sprinkled it with shredded cheese and dried parsley. Voila! - A meal that's easy on the eyes and on the elbows. No elbow grease was required in the cleaning of this baker! LOL  I had lightly sprayed the casserole with cooking oil spray before putting the pasta and sauce in, and the dish was a cinch to clean!
This CorningWare 4-Piece Casserole Set and their matching individual bakers are available where most CorningWare products are sold and retail for approximately $49.99 here in Canada.
Happy Fall Y'all! :)

Grizzly Kinder Sleigh Is As Tough As Its Name

As many people know, InfoMommy likes to tell you about products that are unique & helpful and I love to share products that I think are great!

I reached out to Streamridge a couple of months back, inquiring about doing a review on their Grizzly Kinder Sleigh. I immediately liked it when perusing online as it was made in Canada, made of wood instead of plastic and seemed a lot sturdier that a typical stapled together sleigh would be. I also liked the price point for a Canadian-made wooden sleigh.

Sometimes I will get turned down and sometimes I get no response at all. Many times I will gladly get shipped the product for review. But only 2 companies have ever invited me to pop by and check out their behind the scenes operation. One of those companies was Medela Canada, the breastpump gurus, and the other was Bauman Sawmill, the makers of the Streamridge Grizzly Kinder Sleigh that I inquired about.

After carving out some time during our summer schedule, I took my kids down to visit them one morning at their sawmill operation just outside of Elmira, Ontario. The drive alone through the countryside was beautiful. Rolling hills, lush green landscape and crops of various produce at the height of their growing season. Horse drawn buggies being driven down the country roads, bringing to mind a much simpler time than today's hustle and bustle in large urban centres.

Mr. Bauman (part owner of Bauman Sawmill/Streamridge) is a tall friendly man with a warm take charge personality. He strikes me as a man who has educated and well thought out beliefs and ideas that he is not afraid to share. I believe that these qualities would make him a great leader! He warmly welcomed me and my children and brought us to their board room. Mr. Bauman was even kind enough to have the forethought to seek the assistance of Helena, one of his employees, to help out with my children while we chatted and completed our tour. As I said to her that morning, I was quite certain that child-minding and assisting with young children had not been part of her job description when she signed on there! I really appreciated that Mr. Bauman, Helena, and Myron Gascho, who is their Customer and Product Coordinator, were open to including my children in the tour. Even if they were eventually getting a bit rowdy in the board room! They are active boys after all! I loved the idea of my children seeing how sleighs are made, and seeing the craftsmanship behind the finished product. Craftsmanship that some would argue is close to becoming a lost art.

Bauman Sawmill was formed in 1995, and makes over 60 varieties of sleighs and toboggans. In fact, they are the exclusive manufacturer for LL Bean sleighs as well! The Streamridge brand name was inspired by their property which runs alongside the Conestoga River, and includes its own ridge along the waterway. Bauman Sawmill provides gainful employment to approximately 60 local residents within Waterloo Region.

Their sleighs are made of locally grown Ash wood, which is a type of wood that is known for its natural fiber strength, and is suited perfectly for bending during production of the sleighs. These trees are ethically harvested by being carefully selected and acquired from private landowners, and are not clear cut like many people might believe or envision. They are hand chosen. When removed, it assists in opening up the tree canopy within that particular forest, aiding in generating new growth, and encouraging further growth in pre-existing trees and other vegetation.

Once the trees have been processed into lumber, they are typically stacked for drying outside for approximately one year. Drying them in this slow manner, allows for the natural fiber strength to be preserved. Keeping the natural fiber strength is important, at it allows the lumber to be bent during the steam bending process.

Each component of these sleds are made in Waterloo Region and are made by hand, along with tools of the trade and some machinery. They are not fabricated in a factory, where robotic instruments do all the work. These are made from start to finish by real people here in Canada! Even the varnish type coating on them is not done by spraying, but done by hand dipping into troughs of water based finish. This method keeps dangerous particles out of the air and reduces waste, as the drippings go right back into the finish toughs for re-use on the next sleigh. They are then hung in rows to dry.

Walking through the production area, various areas are reminiscent of Santa's workshop. A number of partially finished sleighs hung in a perfect line waiting for their finish to be applies. Instead of elves, you have skilled craftsmen & craftswomen who are mindfully sanding wood to make sure that there are no splinters, screwing pieces together, bending wood for the sleigh runners, along with other tasks. Their product room featuring all of their accessories, sleigh pads and sleigh designs also has a warm feel to it. It really got me in the mood for winter... Almost!

Mr. Gascho then took us for a tour of the actual Sawmill which is offsite, and then to a harness & tack shop where they actually sew all the sleigh pads on the upper level. Imagine colourful bolts of fabric everywhere, ready to be used to make the sleigh pads, horse blankets and a number of other items they make there on a daily basis! Where a man was actually sewing leather for horse tack! Mr. Gascho's patience and humour when we temporarily lost one of my toddler's shoes was appreciated, as was his ability to tailor the tour to ensure that my kids were not hungry enough to start eating lumber for lunch!

With the small amount of wood waste that can occur with breakage, uneven ends or during the sawmilling itself, Bauman Sawmill uses this matter to make bedding for animals, and also uses it to fuel their wood burning heaters. These wood burning heaters also serve to heat their production area and warm up water for the steam that is essential to bending the wood for the sleighs. Examples of reduce, re-use and recycle at its finest! Their methods of making these sleighs, where at each individual stage are touched by real people - not just machines, and their apparent care taken to eliminate waste makes me believe that they really are trying and doing their part in leaving a small carbon footprint.

The Grizzly Kinder Sleigh is designed for kids aged 1-3 years of age. It has curled runners on the front, which I think makes for reducing the amount of times you get stuck in snow from the front when navigating through snow drifts, and blowing snow. This would have come in real handy with the winter we had last year! The metal wear bars on the runners give the sleigh not only extra gliding power, but also helps reduce wear and tear on the runners themselves. These Streamridge sleighs would be a hit not only for Christmas morning, but a fantastic investment for someone who is starting their family! These sleighs are built to last a lot longer than your typical stapled together sleigh and a sure bet that they will last for use with subsequent children and for generations to come if treated kindly!  You can almost be guaranteed a partial return on investment with these sleighs as well, if you are the type who likes to sell your no longer needed items on websites like Kijiji! How cool would you be as the Grandma and/or Grandpa who put that under the tree this year?! If you're small enough, you might even get a ride in it! And by small, I mean toddler sized!

As previously stated, they have a number of sleigh styles to meet your needs. For all of you parents or grandparents of multiples out there, they even have a dual version of the Grizzly Kinder Sleigh, called the Grizzly Dual Sleigh! This is perfect for twins or siblings that are close in age between 1 and 3 years of age!

The 1/2" thick rustic red and black lumberjack type polyester sleigh pad design are new to this year's models. It gives them an even more authentic look than their previous plain red pads. Having the sleigh pad helps to stop drafts from coming in and around the sides of the sleigh, and help provide more comfort and warmth on longer sleigh rides. The braided pull rope, which is also locally braided here in Ontario, is thicker than a lot of other sleighs out there, and adds comfort for the hands of the parents or whoever's pulling the sleigh. I was going to say that the only thing I'd change is to add a seatbelt, but they actually sell those too!

The Grizzly Kinder Sleigh retails for approximately $169.99CAN. At this price point, I think it's a great investment! You get a well-crafted Canadian handmade sled, made locally in Ontario. They are available for purchase from Home Hardware, online at Toys R Us Canada, and at various small retailers throughout the country. You can also purchase a selection of different accessories which are available for purchase online.

Sleigh dimensions are 33" long, 14 1/2" wide and 13 1/4" high. The Grizzly Kinder Sleigh weighs 9 1/2 pounds, which is great to help add extra traction when pulling through snow. And there's no assembly required.... Unless of course, you're making your own snow! :)

How Random Acts of Kindness Can Help You! 30 Tips to Get You Started!

The proof is in the pudding this morning, when it comes to doing random acts of kindness!

Last night our 1 year old was up a number of times throughout the night and we were so exhausted this morning when we woke up. I woke up pretty grumpy and my body may have been present to get my older one off to school, but my brain was still practically asleep! You know those nights when you have little ones, when you have the worst sleep and waking up you might as well be a zombie in a bad movie! LOL

Well that was me this morning. After I dropped off my son at school, I headed over to the nearest coffee shop drive-thru for some "fuel".  When I went up to the drive-thru window to pay for my order, the cashier told me that the man in front of me had already paid for my order. After shaking off what I thought was a dream, I was pleasantly surprised to realize that this actually happened! It then occurred to me that I too could pay for the next person's order! Hopefully they would continue to do the same, brightening a number of people's day, with what started out as the purchase of one single hot beverage. We all have the power to make a difference in this world - be it big or small! Imagine!

I pulled out of that drive-thru feeling happier, lighter and more awake - and I hadn't even started drinking my caffeine filled drink yet! When I got back home, I started bringing in our recycling bins from garbage day, when it donned on me... I would bring in my neighbors' recycling bins too! Not to my own house, LOL but to their front steps and/or garage doors. And so what if they found out it was me or had no idea who did it for them? It might just be the thing that changes their bad day on a dime, and gets them to ponder what they can do to pay the kindness forward to someone else!  That man buying my cappuccino this morning got me seeing things differently. And I'm hoping it'll do the same for you!

I've already started to think of other things that I can do to brighten up someone else's day. Things that don't even cost a cent! Or barely anything! It's easy to simply think of ourselves and our immediate needs everyday when we are all caught up in the fray of life. But performing these small things each day help us to look further than ourselves and spread joy to others that may really need just one simple shred of kindness! And the joy spreads to yourself as well! Involve your kids, if you have them, and you've got a win-win situation. Just another way to help teach them thoughtfulness and compassion!

So I urge you to do random acts of kindness wherever you see an opportunity! Connect with someone! When you open yourself up to seeing what others' needs might be, or how you can contribute to making someone else's life better if even in the smallest of ways, take advantage! Because not only does it brighten up that person's day, it also feels absolutely amazing to do simple things for others! Especially when it's a secret as to who did it! That can make it even more fun! ;)

Here are some ideas to get you started!

1) Buy a person's coffee who's behind you in line when at the drive-thru.
2) Bring in someone's recycling bins.
3) Bake some muffins/cookies and share with an elderly person or shut-in who might not normally get homemade treats like those! Kids can get involved in this too!
4) Smile and say "Good Morning" when passing by someone.
5) Compliment someone on what they are wearing or a great job they are doing.
6) Show some gratitude by simply saying "Thanks so much!".
7) Offer to help someone load their car if you see they are struggling.
8) Let someone go first either in a line at the grocery store, or someone trying to change into your lane on the roadway.
9) Lend an ear to a senior who might just need that 1 person to talk to that day.
10) Pay for someone's meal at a restaurant.
11) Have you kids draw a card for someone that simply says "Have a great day!" and includes a drawing.
12) Make a donation, (either in-kind or monetary) to your local food bank.
12) Volunteer at an organization in your community that aligns with a cause that you feel close to.
13) If you see someone paying for something regular price at your grocery store that you know is on sale, offer to show the cashier the sale price on your smart phone, so they get a better price.
14) Take more time to show appreciation for what people do for you, whether it's your spouse, a cashier, the garbage man or someone like your doctor!
15) Leave some change in a vending machine, coin laundry machine, or on top of the parking meter. Or if the meter is going to expire, pop the coin right in!
16) Cut your neighbour's lawn while you are doing yours. (Assuming they aren't particular about it gets done).
17) Pick up garbage on your neighbour's lawn that might have blown onto their property.
18) Recognize and praise one of your co-worker's extra efforts, or a job well done. Same goes for your child.
19) Speak to the manager when you've had excellent customer service, not just when you're unhappy with something.
20) If you have something you no longer need, pass it along to someone who can make use of it.
21) Shovel snow for someone who needs the help, like a local senior, or for your neighbour in general.
22) Offer to buy or give a construction worker a bottle of cold water on a hot day or a cup of coffee on a cold day.
23) Offer to buy a homeless person a sandwich or a coffee, donut, etc.. Or share some homemade treats.
24) Hold the door open for someone.
25) Leave a little love note inside your child or your partner's lunch bag.
26) Contact your child's school principal or counsellor to see if there are any needy families. Find out what in particular might be helpful and provide that anonymously.
27) Donate your old winter coats that are still in good condition to a local charity that ensures they get to those in need. Particularly so for kids' coats!
28) Buy or pick someone some flowers.
29) Offer to pick up a few items at the grocery store for an elderly neighbour or shut-in. Or for a neighbour in general.
30) Encourage others to do random acts of kindness and share how it brings you joy and brightens your day!

Hoping your day gets brighter like mine did! :)

Paw Patrollin' Good Time with the Lookout Playset & Basic Vehicle & Pup Combos!

Enter to win InfoMommy's Paw Patrol Toy Giveaway! Giveaway ends October 31st, 2014.

Paw Patrol is a huge hit in our home! If you haven't already guessed by my Paw Patrol Badge Cookies or my Paw Patrol Cupcakes, then you'll be happy to hear about this:

Paw Patrol toys have finally arrived in Canadian stores, thanks to Spin Master Ltd! It feels like it's been a long time coming, so you can imagine my sons were very excited when these items arrived for testing! They were eager to set up the Lookout Playset and save Adventure Bay!

Chase's Cruiser has 2 detachable pylons to help him perform his police pup duties. When not in use, or when Chase is responding to an emergency, they can be stored on the back of his police car. Marshall's Firefightin' Truck features his tool of the trade - a moveable ladder to help him come to the ruff ruff rescue! Rubble's Digg'n Bulldozer has a moveable drill & scoop which help him blast through whatever is in the way. Also in the series is Skye's High Flyin' Copter, Zuma's HovercraftRocky's Recycling Truck, and last but not least, Ryder's Rescue ATV. All come with real working wheels and the pups come with moving limbs so that you can have them lie down or stand to accommodate whatever rescue mission is at hand. These are a hit with my kids! Each of these vehicle and pup combos retail for approximately $15.99CAN and are recommended for children 3yrs and up. A great buy!

The Paw Patrol Lookout Playset consists of the tower lookout, along with an elevator to get to the 2nd level and a slide/chute for the pups to fly down and leads directly to their awaiting vehicle. There is also a fire type pole for Ryder to quickly get to the ground level, and a real working periscope on the upper level that can rotate 360 degrees to aid in keeping a lookout over Adventure Bay. The large Paw Patrol badge activates real sound effects from the actual TV show and lights up. To see the commercial for how it works, click here and scroll down until you see the posted video.

The Lookout Playset is a great concept for a toy, and a great way to bring Paw Patrol to life! It is easy to assemble and actually comes with batteries. Included with the Lookout Playset, is Chase and his vehicle, and 2 pylons. My kids love this particular toy too, however get frustrated, as do I, when the slide often becomes unattached. I feel that the
slide should really have 2 more brackets on it close to the middle of the slide to keep it fastened properly. With that being said, it's nothing that super glue can't fix, but at the price point of $46.99CAN, I would expect that to be permanently attached without having to do any extra work. With that price range, I would also think it would be better to include a few extra characters, or at least Ryder who is integral to the group. The tower lookout is quite stable, although a rounded base might make it more anchorable. Perhaps these are 3 things that can be looked at for a second edition of this toy.

Despite some minor technical issues, it is a great toy for kids that promotes teamwork and creativity when playing by themselves or with a sibling or friend. Like the basic vehicle & pup combos, this playset is geared for kids ages 3+. It would be a definite hit with kids and would be an even bigger hit with parents if it could be purchased when it's on sale!

Happy Patrollin'!

Hug Your Produce With Food Huggers!

Food Huggers are an ingenious product that prolongs the taste and freshness of cut produce! Food Huggers ensure that you don't waste nearly as much as you did before, and helps stop basically throwing money into the trash because you didn't use up your fresh fruits & veggies quick enough.

Food Huggers essentially act like a second skin by creating a seal around the item. This helps to keep the item from spoiling and maintains its freshness longer than it would with many other conventional methods.

You can use Food Huggers for all kinds of fruits and vegetables. From kiwi to citrus fruit and from avocados to onions! The avocados have their own special Avocado Huggers that come in a smaller and larger size, due to their unique shape and varying dimensions. Avocados are a beast to keep from browning and these Huggers help to reduce the amount of oxidization that will occur. Most other fruits and veggies can use the regular round Food Huggers. They come in different sizes, so they will fit a variety of circular and oblong shaped produce. The small sized Huggers are ideal for limes, kiwi etc... The regular Food Huggers will fit larger items such as bigger onions, peppers, tomatoes, grapefruit, and the like.

Not only do they extend life, they also help seal in the odours that come off certain items like cut onions which quickly permeate its scent to other items in your fridge. You can also use them to seal the top of an open can of fruit, vegetables or other food items that you haven't fully used up yet. This beats putting plastic wrap that doesn't stick to the metal cans! I've also used them to help open up those stubborn lids on jars of sauce, pickles and other containers that can sometimes be sealed on extra tight.

They nest into each other, making them compact and easy to store in your utility or utensil drawer and are so easy to use. You simply push your fruit or vegetable against the flexible silicone edge and it will mold itself around the item, thus sealing the open edge and preventing the loss of moisture. It also helps to keep most of the juices inside. They are easy to handle, making them a cinch for kids! You can view their video, which shows exactly how simple they are to use.

These Food Huggers which are BPA-free and phthalate-free, are made out of FDA approved food-grade silicone, are dishwasher, microwave and freezer safe. The small ones come in yellow and green, and the larger ones come in the following colour schemes: Autumn Harvest, Bright Berry, and Fresh Greens.

Food Huggers can be purchased directly from www.FoodHuggers.com. Each 4-pack of round Food Huggers, as well as the Avocado Huggers retail for $9.99US. FoodHuggers.com also allows you to pay for your purchase with PayPal, which is a great alternative to using your credit card online.

It's time to start giving your produce a hug!

SugarBooger - It's Not What You Think!

Whenever you have a product with the word "booger" in it, kids are sure to be intrigued! Ore Originals is a small Southern California company, and their Sugarbooger brand is no different! Except for maybe that the parents will love it too! LOL
Designed with young kids in mind, Ore Originals' Ocean Zipee! Backpack is made of hand washable, well-constructed cotton & nylon canvas, and seems more durable than most school bags for little kids that are on the market. It weighs only 7 ounces, and is perfect for little kids! The sturdy zipper has a carabiner clip on it for attaching little key chains, and other little accessories they might be into. The zipper pulls have oversized zipper fobs on them to make it easy for little fingers to grasp and hold onto while opening and closing.  There is a place to mark who the bag belongs to, and the front zippered pocket adds extra space, allowing for smaller items to be secured easily. The mesh pocket on the size for water bottles is also a great feature, allowing for more room inside the backpack. I did find the backpack straps to be a little bit narrow, but they are well padded and adjustable, so it's likely not an issue. Price: $28.00US.

The Ore Originals' Ocean Zipee! Lunch Tote is made of a denim like cotton canvas. The thicker fabric ensures this lunch box will last a lot longer than most, and the inner lining can be easily wiped clean. It's machine washable and is waterproof and stain resistant. The main compartment is deeper than most kids' lunch boxes. I love this, as it ensures that you can pack your child's lunch without forcing or jamming things inside. The Ore Originals Good Lunch Box (or another similar size container) fits perfectly inside, and leaves enough room to add in an ice pack or some extra snacks along with the container itself. There is also a mesh pocket inside that will keep an ice pack secure, and along with the thick insulation of the tote itself, helps keep cold food chilled until the lunch hour. And hopefully until they get home if there are any leftovers to reduce food waste. In addition to the main compartment, you will find a pocket in the front of the lunch bag to be useful for small items such as cutlery, napkins, a love note etc... Like the Zipee! Backpack, the zipper pulls on the Lunch Tote also have zipper fobs, and includes an information card to write your child's information on. It is BPA, phthalate, lead and PVC free, and meets or exceeds Canadian, U.S. and European safety standards. Price: $20.00US

I love a matching set, and the Ocean Good Lunch Small Snack Containers (they also come in Large) are not only super cute and the same design as the Ocean Zipee! Backpack, but they are fully functional & practical. These small clear containers are perfect for snacks and come in both a 1/2 cup and 1 1/4 cup measure. They are freezer and top rack dishwasher safe. They're BPA free, shatter & scratch resistant as well as resists odours and stains. They are also stackable and leak-proof! Price: $7.50US.

The Ore Originals' Good Lunch Box is designed to fit into Ore Originals' Zipee! Lunch Tote. This container is made of food safe, nontoxic, lead-free, PVC-free and phthalate free polypropylene. Like the Lunch Tote, the Good Lunch Box is quite deep and has 3 compartments that are perfect for keeping items separate, in keeping with the current bento box trend. We all know that for some kids, having one item touch another can make lunch a tear jerker! The container is microwaveable, freezer & top rack dishwasher safe. It is airtight, but it does state to avoid liquids just in case. The Good Lunch Box measures 8 1/2" wide, 5 1/1" deep and 2 1/2" high. Price: $7.00US.

Overall the Sugarbooger brand offers a wide variety of fun & trendy durable child friendly items. They come in several gender specific or unisex designs which you can mix and match or buy the complete matching set! Yes, it may cost more than your typical supplies at your discount department store, but you really do get what you pay for in this case!

Ore Originals Sugarbooger products are available both online at Ore Originals, and at various independent retailers throughout Canada and the U.S. To check out these items in person, visit their Retailer Locator page, email them at customerservice@oreoriginals.com or simply call them directly at (800) 367-2675.

Cool Coolers Puts the Extra-Cool In The Nathan Lunch Bag!

Who doesn't try to make sure their kids' school lunches (& their own!) stay cool until the lunch hour? Who hasn't had their child come home with a warm yogurt, cheese or other products that were wasted because they weren't kept at the proper temperature when they didn't get eaten? We usually stick a cooler pack in our child's lunch, and most of the time, we can salvage whatever perishable items may not have been consumed that day.

I recently found out about Fit & Fresh's Cool Coolers and they are just that - COOL! Literally & figuratively!  These playful designs are slim enough so they barely take up space in your kid's lunch bag and keep food cool! Not only do they come in the Cool Coolers Cars design, but they also come in SunglassesPenguins & Squares! There are 4 non-toxic & BPA-free ice packs to a pack and they retail for approximately $7.99, making them a great investment in both keeping your child's lunch cool, but also in helping to reduce food waste. Simply wipe clean and throw in the freezer and re-use as necessary!

Fit & Fresh also has a great selection of lunch bags both for your kids and for yourself! Those Cool Coolers would fit into their Nathan Kids' Insulated Lunch Bag perfectly, if it didn't already come with its own ice pack! The Nathan Kids' Lunch Bag is made of 12oz cotton that you can tell is very durable just by touching it. It seems much more durable, is much more insulated, and has a deeper cavity than most other mass market kids' lunch bags out there, while still being a comparable size. The extra insulation along with the ice pack is another way that you can ensure cold food stays cold until lunch time, and even possibly salvage any leftovers that are kept at the right temperature throughout the day.

It has a mesh pocket inside to hold the ice pack snugly and has a front Velcro pocket, and a zippered back pocket that would be perfect for cutlery, etc...

This non-toxic, PVC-free, BPA-free lunch bag comes in both the Surf Sketch design as pictured in this product review, as well as a Flames pattern. It is easy to clean by simply wiping down the PEVA-lined interior, and is opened and closed by zipper. It is 9" tall, 4 1/2" deep and 7 1/2" wide.

At $14.99, the Nathan Kids' Insulated Lunch Bag with Ice Pack is a great value. You can shop online at Fit & Fresh's website, or find their products at various retailers!
